The Clay School Parent Club is a very active organization. Serving as a fund raising body to supplement classroom/school materials and equipment, the Parent Club is a fun and spirited group of committed parents who believe in and support the outstanding Clay School activities and programs. Title IX information: Title IX is a critical federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex (including sexual harassment) in our schools - 34.C.F.R. § 106.31 et al. It protects male and female students and employees in any educational entity that receives federal funds. In addition, Title IX protects transgender students and students who do not confirm to sex stereotypes. State law also prohibits discrimination based on gender (sex), gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation. The California Department of Education's California Education Code Section 221.8 specifies individual's rights as it applies to the Sex Equity in Education Act.
